The World We Live In

So now I'm over this whole Christmas thing, I guess we all are. Enough of the joyful tunes and all that sharing and caring, now it's time to get back to reality. The world we live in is increasingly more chaotic and we are helpless to the forces that shape the globe (or so it would seem).

When disasters like 9.2 earthquakes, freak snowstorms, and 4 hurricanes in a row happen to us, it really makes it obvious how much we are endangering our environment with the lifestyle we live. Right now everyone in America should reconsider their dominant position as the world's leading consumers and stop to think about the effect we are having on the planet. The WalMart-and-McDonaldization of society has led us like lemmings to the edge of a cliff, with little hope of turning back. It's going to take a serious paradigm shift to save the world.

With Bush's ignoring of the Kyoto protocol as well as his misleading us into war, we have already seen the consequences in a major way. Our president has no shame in catering to the corporate interests, no matter how much destruction and global chaos is created by his pro-profit anti-people policy. By re-electing this man, America is showing the world that we have no problem letting destructive fools hijack our government, using it for their own greedy agenda. It's going to take impeachment to change things for the better, a fact that most fundamentalist radical right "Christians" don't want to admit. If we allow him to stay for a full four more years, it's practically guaranteed that we in America as well as the rest of the world will be affected in the worst of ways. The Bush Administration has proven they are shameless when it comes to the pursuit of profit, at the expense of some of the poorest people on the planet. We as Americans are responsible for the murder of a hundred thousand innocent civilians, as well as unprecedented degradation of the environment, because we "elected" the sonofa Bush. And as a compassionate human being who loves this planet, I cannot stand idly by and watch this continue. It's getting ridiculous.

But what is the answer to solving this BushCo. agenda problem? Are there enough aware Americans to make a difference? Of the ones who are aware, who will stand up and say NO? Is there hope to save the world from environmental catastrophe and pre-emptive policy?

I may just be a humble poet, but I'd like to think I can make a difference.

Everyday Christmas?

Such funny kids I have. They are so hyped up about life, and so sweet... It was super incredibly fun to see them get their Santy Claus gifts yesterday. Hilarious. P got the biggest robot Mighty Morphin Power Ranger toy, a huge Dynozord that he loves, and A got her 1st dollhouse. Plus P got his favorite new Transformer, Prowl, among tens of other toys that they loved all. Their smiles were more beautiful than any words could ever express. Soon I'll figure out how to get pictures on here to show exactly what I mean by this.

It's been a crazy season of caring and sharing and working and parenting, but so worth it. I just wonder why we try to cram all our caring and sharing into a month or two of the Holiday Season, instead of just spreading it out through the whole year...I mean, why can't everyday be Christmas? Why can't everyday be Thanksgiving? Why can't everyday be Halloween?

Alas, I must be mad. My ideas are too silly. At least I have kids to keep me grounded in the "Real World" and make me laugh through the Chaos.

Magnetic Poetry 2004

Some words magnetic, straight off the fridge:

imagine this & kill trust
war justice
they top con demand it

we poor billions
serve and suffer
from money game scandal like
the angry federal prison experiment
corrupt economy
antipublic secret handshake America
general cabinet hubris
debt monument issued bomb dept.

blame our fiscal motive mess
investigate greedy executive ethic
middle manager sexmonger politic
Washington cult influence
an old white race problem

........................................................there, I said it. Yes, i feel better, even if I didn't actually say it. It's one of those things that might not come up if it weren't for the spontaneity of magnetic poetry. That's how journaling is too, and I reckon blogging as well. You just never know what truth might be spilled at any given time....

Here's another magnetic one, more peaceful this time. It's called "Free Your Art"

...
work surreal smoke
smear bold impression in life
softly sculpt metaphor silhouette
and see wild form's
only joy state

neowater shimmering
sculptured passion
hear no pain after

Well here we are again

OK~so, first things first. Let's get this quote thing out of the way and start diggin into my brain a little bit.

Let's start with:

"We cannot always control our thoughts, but we can control our words, and repetition impresses the subconscious, and we are then master of the situation." --Jane Fonda

Like the repetition of a mantra, is what I'm thinking she's saying here. A simple way to regain control of one's life is to take control of one's words and not allow them to get the best of us, instead using them as a source of personal power. Mantras are like the eastern religious traditions' way of praying, a way to speak to God Within so that we can again become master of our destiny instead of allowing the world to rock our boats and knock us off course. I think prayer is powerful in its own right, it's like handing over our issues to the Greater Power in order that they leave us in peace. Anytime anyone in the world begins to worry, they should have a mantra or prayer ready, so that nothing can get in the way of joyful living.

Well, that's what I got out of it anyway!

Got that first post out the way

We all know the first step's the hardest...that's why I usually try to skip it. Rather than actually exert effort to think up an initial blog post (my first ever...whoa man), I cheated and used my copy-pasted mantra to set the tone. I just want to introduce the world to my way of thinking, get feedback to absorb and grow with, and water the earth with my liquid prosetry. I reckon that's why anyone get's a blog though, right? It's a great innovation...

I'm still feeling like a timid virgin right now, I have to admit. Soon maybe I won't be so self-conscious and will be able to scribble as freely as if this were my journalizm. Maybe the best way to skip the first step every day will be to start with a quote or three, then just go from there.

Is it just me, or is this like thinking out loud with yr crazy self, getting in touch with your inner madman? Oh wait, i guess it is just me!

(did I say that, or just think it?)

Blog ya soonly~

The Balance Remains

My Personal Mantra: The Eternalizm

...We go down, we go up, rollercoaster rhythms non-stop, spinning like a top, balanced or not...

See, Balance always Iz but not always Realized,
cuz karmic fluctuations and attachment to sensations
cloud the visualizations of our third eyes...
but the Balance is there whether we are blind or not
and the realization of this is True Peace...
The universe is a manifestation of the infinite Imagination within us all
and the winterspringsummerfall will never cease...
Cycles of creation recall universal gravitation as circles of perfection
become spherical awareness...
consciousness, Unlimited Consciousness resides inside each one of us...

Allegorical symbolizations, poetical relations, and free associations
reveal timeless Truth long forgotten...
Spreading seeds of thought for cultivation,
but neglect will leave the mind rotten...

check this out:
I AM YOU, YOU ARE ME, WE ARE ONE, INFINITY and Individuality
allinthesamebreath, interconnectedness...
The Infinite One, the Indefinite Truth is the Eternal Iz,
the Timeless Now,
Omni,
Kaotic Harmony,
Supreme Balance,
the Ultimate Symbol,
Unspeakable Word,
the Unthinkable Exists, and comprehension in this finite dimension
is beyond the capable extension of Mind...yet
we must quest for our Infiniteness and nevertheless find true happiness...

Individuality is the only true reality,
and what seems to be duality is just illusion, the confusion
of negative-positive fusion...
so we look past the Goodevilrightwrong
and find chaotic harmony in the Universe Song...

No Rainbows without Rain and no Joy without Pain,
so Balance is seeing the Beauty in life's challenges
as we know what goes down must come up...with this understood,
Frownpeople turn to Clownpeople and the sorrow that tends to drown people
dries right up...
Death iz Illusion, Life iz Confusion and Evolution iz Devolution
as we know what expands must contract…
spheres of Light spin without end as day turns to night and white to black...

Revolutionary gravitations send out vibrations blended together
to make the ultimate musical confabulation-
the Om, the Am, the mmmmmmmm.....on the tip of my tongue but unspeakable...
unteachable is Truth and unfound by the greatest sleuth, yet...

THE ETERNAL IZ...
